Короткий огляд (реферат): Introduction. When using traditional surgical techniques for the treatment of patients with diseases of the nose, pharynx, larynx and trachea, which cause difficulty in breathing, intraoperative blood loss and postoperative bleeding, as well as relapses of the disease, often occur. The aim of the study: to increase the effectiveness of surgical treatment of children with difficulty breathing. Material and methods. Follow-up was carried out in 510 patients from 2 to 17 years of age. The cause of difficulty in breathing is often adenoid vegetations, allergic and chronic hypertrophic rhinitis, hypertrophy of the lower tonsils, cicatricial stenosis of the larynx and trachea, vasomotor rhinitis, pharyngeal and laryngeal teratomas, congenital stridor. In the course of surgical treatment of children, we used electric welding technology with high-frequency victories (66 and 440 kHz) and bipolar instruments developed by the authors. The use of high-frequency bipolar welding of biological tissues with an electric current frequency of 66 and 440 kHz, as well as its supply according to an appropriate program, ensure the destruction of cell membranes without the formation of foci of necrosis. This technology of electric welding is fundamentally different from the technology of coagulation and radio frequency surgery. When using these frequencies, a sufficient amount of a homogeneous substrate is formed from denatured protein molecules of elastin and collagen for a high-quality tissue connection, which is not observed at a current frequency of 1-7 MHz. Results. The use of electric welding of biological tissues in the proposed surgical interventions on the ENT organs using the developed bipolar power tools made it possible to significantly reduce intraoperative blood loss, avoid bleeding in the postoperative period, reduce the time of surgical interventions and increase their effectiveness, as well as avoid relapses of the disease.Conclusions. The use of electric welding technology in the treatment of children with diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, which cause difficulty in breathing, has significantly increased the effectiveness of treatment.
