АНАЛІЗ ВПЛИВУ МІСЯЦЯ НАРОДЖЕННЯ НА РОЗВИТОК РОЗСІЯНОГО СКЛЕРОЗУ В АСПЕКТІ КОМОРБІДНОСТІ

Abstract

Interest is caused by reports on the impact of the month of birth (MB) on the development and course of multiple sclerosis (MS). The aim - to analyze the anamnestic data of MS patients, depending on the MB, season and month of MS debut; to clarify the relationship between MB and the development of MS's debut in the aspect of comorbidity. Material and methods: 216 MS patients with various forms of course were examined, which were divided into 2 groups: without concomitant diseases (n = 109) and with concomitant diseases (n = 107). The distribution of patients is analyzed depending on MB and depending on the season and month of MS debut. Results. It was found, that most often MS patients were born in May - 56 (25.9%) patients in the general group, 31 (29.0%) – group with concomitant diseases and 25 (23.0%) – group without concomitant diseases. Regarding the month of the MS debut: in the patients examined, this was most often April (14.7% of the patients of the group without concomitant diseases and 21.5% of the group with concomitant diseases). Conclusions. The prognostically unfavorable month for the birth of MS patients is May and April, and the frequency of MS debut is the month of April.
