МІСЦЕ СКАЛЬПОВОЇ АКУПУНКТУРИ В ЛІКУВАННІ ЗОРОВИХ ПОРУШЕННЬ ТА БОЛЬОВИХ РОЗЛАДІВ ОРБІТАЛЬНОЇ ДІЛЯНКИ У ХВОРИХ НА РОЗСІЯНИЙ СКЛЕРОЗ

Abstract

During the research it was established that the scalp acupuncture (SA) method together with other methods of reflexotherapy is expedient for applying in the complex treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) for better relief of visual disturbances and painful disorders of the orbital region arising as a result of optical neuritis. The aim – to determine the frequency of visual disturbances and pain disorders of the orbit region in MS patients; to find out the effectiveness and expediency of using the SA method in such a contingent of patients. Material and methods: a total of 216 patients with MS were examined; the frequency of visual disturbances and pain syndromes of the orbit in MS patients was analyzed; with the aim of RT - treatment, scalp zones were used in accordance with the Standard International Nomenclature. Results. It was specified that, in general, visual impairment occurred in 116 (53.7%) of MS patients in both groups; in all, the examined group of MS patients had 12 (5.6%) patients with ophthalmogenic stable facial pain due to the transferred OH. Conclusions. Special difficulties in arresting visual disorders and pain symptoms of the orbital region arose in conditions of comorbidity of MS with diseases of the stomach and hepatobiliary system
