Transdisciplinary perspectives of bioethics and multiple social identity (philosophical study)

Abstract

Problem and purpose. Being an effective means of satisfying most of the material needs of mankind, the economy is unable to determine its goals. This problem is becoming acute in the context of globalization and the crisis of traditional values, in particular, religious. Bioethics can offer possible answers to questions about the ultimate goals of the modern economy, but they are considered mainly only in a utilitarian way. The purpose of this article will be to identify the potential of bioethics as an ethically and scientifically sound way to find a new social identity, including the inevitability of humanity's adoption of a strategy of self- restriction. Research methodology. The study of the relationship between ethics and economics is carried out with the help of neoinstitutionalism as a research methodology, but attention is focused not on economic or political institutions, but on moral institutions, which most representatives of neoinstitutionalism unreasonably underestimate.
